Notes:
Lambeth Cemetery:

Located in Osage Co., Missouri just past the town of Freedom. The cemetery is fenced, but in an overgrown condition. I have been in contact with the land owner and he was agreeable to restoration of the cemetery. Any Lambeth researchers who live in the area may contact me for more information on directions to the cemetery and any restoration efforts. The last survey of the tombstones was done in December of 1987. I am in the process of resurveying the area and trying to gather more completed data on the tombstones. I will use the numbering system from the old survey. Listing starts in the southeast corner and reads right to left (fence side to woods)

To reach the Lambeth Cemetery in Osage County, MO. take U.S. Hwy 50 East out of Linn, MO. Travel 7.8 miles to State road N, turn north on N. Follow N through the town of Freedom to County road 201, about 3.0 miles. You will now be on a gravel road and will immediately cross a low water bridge. Continue 1.1 miles until you come to a dirt lane/road off to the left, I believe there is a mail box "Pratter" an old trailer hitch frame. The road makes a steep incline. Continue 0.1 mile to a gate. Open gate and follow the tractor tracks until you reach the top of the hill, then skirt the edge of the woods (Southside). You will see part of the field juts off to the south; the cemetery is located in the woods at the edge of this part of the field (you will go down hill). The cemetery is fenced by barbed wire. It is a 10 minute walk from the gate to the cemetery. I would recommend going in dry weather, wear jeans, boots and plenty of bug spray!
