      Daily Democrat, Clinton MO - Claud Sappington, 93, Sedalia, died Wednesday, May 6, at the Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. He was born April 1, 1899, near Windsor, the son of Richard P. and Anna May Horning Sappington. On February 25, 1925, he married Blanche Goldsmith, who survives of the home in Sedalia. In 1924, he went to work for the Missouri State Highway Department and worked for the department for 44 years. He worked out of Windsor, Cole Camp, Lincoln and Sedalia, retiring in 1968. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Windsor; the Sedalia Masonic Lodge 236 AF&AM, receiving his 50 year pin in 1989, and the O.E.S. Chapter 57, Sedalia. In addition to his wife, Mr. Sappington is survived by a sister-in-law, a brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were Friday, May 8, at the Hadley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Laurel Oak Cemetery.
