Below is the marriage record for John Bryan (O’Brian) and Anna Cass. The marriage was performed by Father Conrad Tintrup of the St. Joseph Church in Wentzville, Missouri. There is also is another marriage record for Edward Bryan (O’Brian) and Margaret Ryan preformed at the same church. I have long suspected Edward was brother to John Bryan. The 1860 census list John and Edward along with a Michael and Patrick living with parents Daniel and Catherine Bryan in Wentzville, Missouri. The family’s oral history is quite definite about John living in Wentzville as a young man; in addition the names Daniel, Edward, Michael, Patrick and John all play a prominent roll in the naming of children in the Bryan family. Daniel Bryan, son of John and Anna, death certificate list birthplace as Wentzville, Missouri. I am still looking for the one definite document to link these Bryan’s together.
