Thomas J. Dillon did not leave a will, but the following transaction taken from the Benton county deeds, located on microfilm at the Missouri State Archives, list all of Thomas’s living children.
“This Indenture made and entered into the 7th day of March 1849 by and between Thomas Dillon as trustee for William T. Dillon, Hannah Failer, Judy E. Dillon, Samuel J. Dillon of the first part and Meredith G. Dillon and John C. Dillon of the second part all of the County of Benton and State of Missouri. ————-(boring legal stuff)—— In the case of Meredith G. Dillon, William T. Dillon, John C. Dillon, Hannah L. Dillon now Hannah Failer, Judy E. Dillon, Samuel J Dillon and George H. Dillon all the children of said Thomas Dillon, the following real estate.”
